Club Update 3/26/2020

Dear Members:
I wanted to take this opportunity to provide some updates that hopefully you will find helpful. Since my last video we have pushed our shutdown date back to April 15 and will keep it there until we hear further from the Florida Department of Education, Florida Department of Health, state and local government agencies and of course the CDC. We will continue to push back spring programming including tryout dates, spring rec, and of course league play in each of our respective programs. We will patiently wait to hear from all the soccer governing bodies including FYSA, US Club, US Soccer, and ECNL on what their plans are beyond April. Once it is clear to us what their plans are we can then act accordingly. We cannot pull out of any of their scheduled events/tournaments/showcases until they decide to cancel the remainder of their programming. With that said, if and when they do cancel programming, it is our top priority to free up all the monies in team accounts and return it back to all our families. We will continue to plan and stay agile.

Furthermore, we are currently building and registering all our teams in the DA, ECNLB and ECNLG programs. Once that is complete we will take a thoughtful pause and wait to hear from the soccer governing bodies. Once their intentions are clear we will continue with the player retention process throughout the rest of the club. The key for us is to wait until the team accounts can be reconciled and then open up registration immediately following. The goal is to put as little financial strain on the families as possible while securing your spot back at TBU for next soccer season. There are so many more important things to focus on and I don't want our families to worry about the soccer piece.

We will continue to provide service to our members with our home workout regimen and engage our coaches and players even though we are not on the field. We are currently building out a weekly lineup of town halls, master classes, coaching education, facebook live workouts and AMA's (ask me anything) so please stay tuned for more information regarding those. We will continue to employ all of our employees (plus Jimmy!) throughout this uncertain time. With proper execution we have the opportunity to self insulate our ecosystem here at TBU, make it through this and come out stronger on the other side.

We can't thank you enough for all of your support and understanding over the past two weeks. In times like this you can clearly identify areas that need improvement but more importantly you watch people step up and rise to the occasion. Just like on the field!
